Support LCLS
Your gift keeps the library free.
The Lackawanna County Library System is funded by Lackawanna County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with help from gifts and local Friends of the Library groups. Donations stay local and directly fund collections, programs, and accessibility.
Give to your county library
A gift to the Lackawanna County Library System helps fund books, programs, technology, and accessible service at member libraries across the county. To make a gift or learn about giving options, contact the Library System office.
Where donations go
- Books, audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, and large-print collections
- Free programming — story time, tech help, book clubs, summer reading
- Public computers, printers, and WiFi infrastructure
- Accessibility improvements at every member library
- The Bookmobile — bringing the library to communities across the county
Donate books — Better World Books
LCLS partners with Better World Books to give withdrawn and donated books a second life. Books that aren't added to the collection are resold to support literacy programs worldwide — and a portion of proceeds returns to the Library System.
