What we collect, why, and how we keep it safe.
What we collect
- Library account data — name, contact information, account number, borrowing history, and holds (stored within the Evergreen library system via the PA SPARK consortium)
- Event registration — events you have registered for, attendance check-ins
- Website analytics — anonymous, aggregate visit data (no individual tracking)
- Donation processing — any gift you make is handled securely; LCLS receives only the donor name and amount needed to acknowledge the gift
How we use it
- Provide library services — circulation, holds, renewals, and notifications
- Send programming-related communications (you may opt out at any time)
- Plan library services and programs based on aggregate, de-identified statistics
- Comply with the Pennsylvania Library Code, which protects the confidentiality of library records, and other applicable law
What we don't do
- Sell or rent patron data to third parties
- Track patrons across the web with advertising pixels
- Store payment card data on LCLS servers — any payment processor handles payments directly
- Share borrowing history except where required by law and with appropriate process
Your rights
- Request a copy of your library account data at any time
- Correct any errors in your account
- Close your account and have your borrowing history deleted (subject to clearing any outstanding items)
- Email info@albright.org — requests are honored within 30 days
