Government Resources

A Federal Depository since 1895.

Since 1895 the Scranton Public Library has been part of the Federal Depository Library Program. As a selective depository — one of the only government-documents libraries in the area — we collect the federal, state, and local materials most useful to the surrounding counties, and we’ll locate documents we don’t hold. The collection is searchable in the LCLS catalog, or browse it in person; reference staff can help with municipal information, government databases, and current-events research.
